On the afternoon of Thursday, February 20th, 2025, H.E.Oknha Dr. Chea Dana, Founder of Westland International School, along with the school principal and management team, warmly welcomed a high-level Australian education delegation led by Ms. Pauline White and Mr. Roshan Perera.
Ms. Pauline White, Chair of the Board of the School Curriculum and Standard Authority, Department of Education of Western Australia Government, accompanied by Mr. Roshan Perera, Assistant Executive Director, Certification and Testing of the School Curriculum and Standard Authority, Department of Education of Western Australia Government and Mr. Sen Pidet, Managing Director of Springboard Education. The delegation conducted an official visit to assess the progress of Westland International School’s infrastructure, including its newly developed third academic building. They also evaluated the implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum currently operating at the school. During the visit, Ms. White and her colleagues observed an exhibition showcasing students’ achievements from the first semester under the Western Australian Curriculum. She highly praised the students' competencies, commended the dedication of the teaching staff, and recognized the school’s commitment to providing high-quality education aligned with 21st-century technological advancements.
Westland International School remains the first school in Takhmao City accredited to implement the Western Australian Curriculum. Students who complete Grade 12 under this program will receive an internationally recognized diploma issued by the Australian Ministry of Education, which is equivalent to Cambodia’s National High School Diploma issued by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. As a result, students graduating from Westland International School’s Western Australian Curriculum will obtain two diplomas—one from Cambodia and one from the Australian Ministry of Education—enhancing their academic and career opportunities both locally and globally.
